WHY DOES REINCARNATION EXIST?
The soul must enter the arena of earthly experience in order to free itself from the weaknesses that draw it back into reincarnation.
Consider, for example, a murderer. As the suffering within such a soul grows ever more intense, turning its inner world into a prison of darkness and torment, how could it find opportunities for forgiveness and restitution in a realm where neither the person it killed nor the circumstances surrounding that crime exist?
Suppose someone has killed a person named A. The conditions under which the crime occurred no longer exist; the individual is gone, and those particular circumstances of time and place have passed. In such a realm, how can the soul find peace? How can it recreate those experiences, recognize its error, and truly learn from it? It cannot find these opportunities in the spiritual world alone. Such restitution can only be sought on Earth through similar tests presented under different circumstances.
Therefore, if the soul has the opportunity to be born again, it returns and encounters situations that resemble its previous failures. This time, with the possibility of self-control, it may pass the test without committing the same crime.
Many of the events we experience in life are of this nature. Repeated earthly lives are of great importance because they give us the opportunity to succeed where we once failed and to develop the inner qualities that we previously lacked.
For a soul to mature, it is not enough simply to be forgiven and relieved of remorse. Forgiveness is only a means, not the ultimate goal. The true purpose is for the soul to become capable of exercising its influence freely over matter.
Feelings such as remorse, the longing for forgiveness, and the desire to return to earthly existence all serve to draw the soul once again into the realm of material experience. Through these experiences, the soul gains greater understanding, strength, and wisdom. When it recognizes the need to resume a life in which it was previously unsuccessful, the desire to restore and complete that unfinished work naturally arises within it.
Thus, just as desires and inclinations are not the purpose of returning to Earth but merely instruments of evolution, so too are forgiveness and restitution. They are means by which the soul progresses toward spiritual maturity.

Great description of Reincarnation, which more than 2/3rds of the planet's population accepts, except for those of us here in the West, the so-called "advanced" peoples. Really??? We are missing something very valuable to understand. Thanks for sharing this!
